Chelsie has worked with the ABBA team since 2008, becoming a Managing Member in January of 2017. Chelsie delights in cleaning up a "messy" set of books in order to make it functional. She has a heart for small businesses, and believes that in order to succeed it's essential to know what's happening in your business. Chelsie enjoys being an integral part of the process by digging into the books and seeing what areas can use improvements in order to have a healthy business.
When Chelsie isn't busy crunching numbers she is trying to keep up with her kids, starting home renovation projects with her husband or booking tropical vacations. She loves being outdoors and NEVER turns down an opportunity to host a BBQ. Chelsie strives to be an example for her kids. She wants her kids to see her work hard, but play even harder.
Barbara Thornton founded ABBA in 1987. Over the years she has helped hundreds of clients set up their books as the foundation to a thriving business. Barb most enjoys challenging work, something that resembles a giant puzzle. She likes separating out the pieces to see how it all fits together. Barb takes pride in creating a proper audit

Barb takes pride in creating a proper audit trail that will stand up to any auditor's review. Over the years, Barb has mentored many individuals in bookkeeping, accounting and business practices. She is passionate about empowering other bookkeepers to reach their potential and achieve their dreams in creating their own business environment.
In her spare time Barb enjoys a variety of activities. She enjoys the warmth of the summer sun and cool fall days surrounded by the colors of the season. She loves visiting Caribbean blue waters and white sandy beaches, and unplugging from the daily grind. Barb is fond of singing and does so regularly with a choir. She relishes long walks with her dogs and celebrating life with those she holds dear to her heart.

Kate joined the ABBA team in 1998 and found her life's work. She believes that financial health, just like physical, emotional and spiritual health, is essential for one's total well-being. Kate enjoys helping clients achieve financial health by providing an accurate set of books and a proven audit trail.
When Kate is not busy with ABBA she loves spending time with family and friends. She was raised in Iowa along the banks of the Mississippi River where her family still owns a cottage. Some of her fondest memories are boating or waterskiing on the river on hot summer days, catching fireflies and playing family games of Euchre and ping-pong.
Pam has held a variety of jobs over the years, working in the travel industry, as an elementary school classroom aide, and eventually the Office Manager and Business Manager of a local school district. Upon her retirement in 2018, she joined the ABBA Management team as a Payroll Specialist. Pam loves helping her clients, but especially

In her free time, Pam enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Dave, have two grown daughters and 3 grandchildren who they can’t get enough of. Pam enjoys researching family history, traveling, golf, and reading a good crime or historical fiction novel.
Alyx graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood Studies before working as a preschool teacher at a local Santa Rosa school. When her group of children graduated their third year and headed off to kindergarten she took the opportunity to join the ABBA team. Her attention to detail, thorough organization, and

When her group of children graduated their third year and headed off to kindergarten she took the opportunity to join the ABBA team. Her attention to detail, thorough organization, and problem solving skills have served her well while learning the ins and outs of bookkeeping and payroll services.
In 2019 she and her husband Robin welcomed a basset hound puppy named Nelson who has brought incredible joy and laughter to their life. She is a self-professed foodie who thoroughly enjoys all that the Sonoma County culinary scene has to offer. In her free time she enjoys exploring the outdoors; hiking, boating, and visiting the Northern California coast with Robin and her pup. One of their goals as a family is to visit each of the 50 states.
Delia's career trajectory most closely resembles the adage, "jack of all trades, master of none." She has held jobs in the field of architecture, floral design, self development (life coaching!) and various office positions. However Delia has always been close to the ABBA Management team, her mother Kate is one of the managing partners.

However Delia has always been close to the ABBA Management team, her mother Kate is one of the managing partners. Delia has spent years around the 'family biz' before taking the plunge.
Delia joined the ABBA Management team in the Fall of 2017 as a Payroll Assistant. Since then she has taken on more and more work and most enjoys the detail oriented work of payroll processing. She is proud to be a part of a woman owned and operated business that has a passion for supporting other small businesses.
In her spare time Delia enjoys writing short plays and essays, reading fiction by female authors and during the summer, hanging out by the pool. Delia is a life long learner and curious about a variety of topics. Currently she is researching how to grow an herb garden in her high desert environment (she lives in Las Vegas) and the notion of bad art for a project she is working on.
